Leisa Reichelt

Drupal 7 UX Project

Leisa is one of the key contributors in the Drupal 7 User Experience project and will be presenting remotely from her location in London, England. She plans on fielding any questions or comments related to usability in the upcoming Drupal 7. If you have any questions you would like to ask, please ask them in advance. Jess McMullin

nForm User Experience

Since 1997 Jess has focused his career on understanding and developing positive user experiences for his clients and their users. Jess draws on techniques from usability, information architecture, and user research to generate client insight to drive innovation and create better customer experiences. His value-centered approach grounds customer experience strategy at the intersection of business goals and customer goals to produce return on investment for clients, and 'return on experience' for their customers.

For 2009, Jess will present, Designing Influence: How to Get Great Drupal Design Done in the Real World

Marc Ingram

Trellon

Once again this year, we're pleased to have Marc join us at Drupal Camp Alberta. Marc Ingram, has 12 years of experience in software development, and has been Drupaling for the last 3 years. Marc is currently a technical lead for Trellon, a co-maintainer of the Drupal services module and a site administrator of Ourfernie.com. This year, he will be presenting the services module and how it can provide a standardized solution for integrating external applications with Drupal.

Owen Brierley

Guru Digital Arts College / Gystworks

Owen Brierley is a freelance Digital Media Producer based in Edmonton, Alberta. Owen's recent experience includes: co-creating Keys2Drive as part of GystWorks, co-creating an Alternative Reality Game for the tween audience called the Central Institute for Exploration with Hotrocket Studios; game design and project leadership of a Serious Game for service rig workers called Simulynx for Terris-Hill Productions; and serving as the Multimedia Development Coordinator for Alberta Learning's LearnAlberta.ca project, a repository of digital learning objects for the K-12 sector.

Owen is the Executive Director of Guru Digital Arts College and the Director of Production for GystWorks.

Dave Cormier

University of Prince Edward Island

Dave is the web technology specialist at the University of Prince Edward Island is the the manager of the Edtechtalk community of practice. He will be presenting an update on last year's 300 Sites, 1 Core talk.

Karri Flatla

Karri Flatla is the principal of snap! virtual associates inc., an online consulting firm specializing in web marketing and copywriting for entrepreneurs. Well known across the web for her take-no-prisoners writing style, Karri’s articles and tips have been featured at Search Engine Guide, the VAnetworking Blog and Fuel Net. You can read and subscribe to her Outsmart business blog at http://snap-va.com.

Karri resides in Lethbridge, Alberta with her husband Jason, another entrepreneur, and her two young boys.

Her presentation is The Copy Connection: Content Strategies for Results Oriented Web Developers.

Joshua Schroeder

University of Lethbridge / Redwall

Joshua is a web developer at the University of Lethbridge and co-founder of Redwall. He will present a case study on scripting Drupal to operate an automated hockey pool web site.

Sungwon Byun

University of Lethbridge

Sungwon is a local Drupal developer working at the University of Lethbridge. He will be providing a beginner's overview of Apache Solr search integration - how to install it, configure it, and use it within your Drupal website.
