Entity Field Query API, Views in core for developers!!!

One of the most powerful tools in Drupal is views because of the flexibility that it brings with regards building out dataset rapidly.

Drupal 7 sees the introduction of the Entity field query api which provides support for queries against fields associated with specific entity types and stored potentially stored multiple field api backends.

This session will

• Define what fields in core means from a developers perspective
• Look at the concept of a core api that allows view-like queries
• demonstrate from a code prospective how to define queries
• show how the model can be extended to support storage engines out side of core
